(The douche explaination can be found here. The title of this post is my poor attempt at humor.)
I love October. During the beginning of the month the leaves are green, by the middle have lost their chlorophyll putting on the most fantastic show of color that only nature can do. I live on a large hill overlooking the city which lies in a valley below. The hills around the valley roll in waves of red, yellow, orange and brown. The end of the month comes and the leaves start falling on the ground. Just at the perfect time for raking into pumpkin bags or Halloween decorations. The best part is that they are biodegradable and the trees will make more for the following year. The cycle continues.
Apples are ready for harvest. All of the farms and towns in the area start the fall harvest festivals. Hayrides, hot cider, sugar donuts, pumpkins, corn stalks, corn mazes, haunted houses, and kids running to and fro with excitement. The weather is turning cooler and the non-urbanized people finalize all of their canning, freezing, and harvesting and they prepare for the winter season ahead. I look around and smile, Tao is everywhere. It certainly is October in Michigan and I love it!

Pretty images. Makes me homesick for the North.
Most likely you'll enjoy the winter of the south more. ;)
Every season reminds me of Oneness. Autumn has its color. Winter (at least, where I live on the SW Washington coast) exhibits its fury. Spring brings new beginnings and summer celebrates growth.
