Blending Thoughts

TTC 15:
Who can be muddled yet desist
In stillness gradually become clear?
Who can be serene yet persist
In motion gradually come alive?

One who holds this Tao does not wish to be overfilled
Because one is not overfilled
Therefore one can preserve and not create anew

The vastness of our mind is what keeps us lost. When it is concentrated there is not anything more powerful. People of Tao know that just looking into the mind to see what will get us through a situation is not good enough on its own. We must explore beyond.

Looking into the mind is kind of like studying. A person may take a topic or issue and turn that inward focusing only on the single item. Knowing when to move on is as simple as knowing that the thought is exhausted. The concentration that we put forth is like mixing paint. Each type of paint has its own distinct color, but over time it blends into a single color or shade.
