New Realizations

TTC 41:

When a superior person hears of the Tao,
She diligently puts it into practice.
When an average person hears of the Tao,
he believes half of it, and doubts the other half.
When a foolish person hears of the Tao,
he laughs out loud at the very idea.
If he didn't laugh,
it wouldn't be the Tao.
TTC 5:

It is better not to speak of things you do not understand.

If you decided to go out to the public and talk to people about Tao, most people would ignore you and continue on their way. As I work on self cultivation it appears that this brings me toward Tao and opens up the world to new insight. While driving down the highway or other times of pondering a thought will suddenly come to me that I’ve never considered before. Last night was how the universe is like a video game, not only was it a thought but I could also visualize the thought. One day, hopefully, I’ll be able to put that thought into words, until then more understanding is needed. There just doesn’t appear to be anyway to explain it and don’t think people could understand since it would sound so incoherent.

If it were possible to describe this insight the majority of people would probably not care to listen. I’d be away from their world of politics and silliness. Perhaps it is better to not discuss my thoughts. Then again maybe it has to do with wisdom, knowing when to speak and to whom. In the future when my understanding has increased I hope to know this wisdom and only discuss Tao among those that can benefit. I spend enough time being on the wrong planet with having Asperger’s Syndrome; I’d be wasting my words among the rest of the population. They just don’t know or possibly even care.

I hope you don't stop discussing your thoughts in this forum. Asperger's? I'd like to hear more about that.
I feel badly that most people miss the beauty right in front of us, but I'm not going to miss any beauty while thinking about it.
Go well.

I had an Asperger's site but closed it down once starting this blog. This one was more fun for posting and the Aspie site was neglected. Maybe it should be put back up even if not used.

I think it's important to share insights, but as Lao Tzu cautions, we must do see without any expectations. That's what I do on my blog. I showcase my insights, but I don't worry about whether or not any of them have an impact on anyone other than me.
