Taoist Seminar

I received an email this morning about 4 upcoming Taoist Seminars. I'm not affiliated with the group or advertising for them, just passing on information that others may want to take advantage of.

We are very excited to be bringing the Wudang Tao Community Portal to you. The Community Portal will provide a venue for weekly live lectures and will be growing into an online library of Taoist philosophy, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, lifestyle, history, legends, and healing information and provide access to online courses. The Portal will also host a Members' Forum in which you can discuss topics of interest with other members. The price for membership to the Community Portal will initially be $30 per month, which includes the weekly live lectures, access to the Community Taoist Library and the Community Members' Forum.

The Portal is simple to use and most PCs that are in regular use will already have everything that they need for access. The Portal requires only a moderately fast Internet connection (512Kbit or faster), a recent browser and Flash Player on Windows and Mac. The following browsers have been verified with the Portal: Internet Explorer 6.0.29 and higher, Firefox 2.0.0.14 and higher, and Safari 3.1.1 and higher. In addition you will need Adobe Flash Player 10.0.32.0 or higher. Latest versions of these applications are available from their respective browser sites or adobe.com for the Flash Player.

The schedule of Live Chats for November is:
• Wednesday November 4: Master Within Lecture Series Introduction
• Tuesday November 10: The Story of the 8 Immortals
• Wednesday November 18: Diet and Nutrition for a Healthy Life
• Wednesday November 25: Introduction to the Tao Te Ching (from a Philosophical perspective rather than alchemical perspective)

The Live Lectures will be at 9:30 pm Eastern time.

We are very excited about launching this online library and lecture venue and making it available to the community. We plan to add new articles and new materials as well as to develop new online courses every month. Your participation in the Portal will make it a vibrant, growing and informative place to be!
