Here we are. It is New Years Day January 1, 2010! While many people go about creating New Years Resolution, there really is no real reason that this has to be the day that a new start or change to life is made. We invented time. There really is no such thing as yesterday or tomorrow. The Earth is just turning, but we created the dividing line to mark each rotation. It was determined that a good portion of darkness, the entire sunny portion (not true if living in the extreme near the artic circle), then part of darkness would equal one day. Silly yes, but this allows us to pin point when something did or will happen.
Since there is really no day or anything specific in regards to time, why not start something new when it was thought of and decided to be a path? Personal growth leading to a better way of living can be started at anytime. I started my actual journey mid year, just as this blog was started mid year. A day is a day is a day. I truly believe that self cultivation is the only way to move through life. If today is really the day that you want to start, then today is the perfect day. If not, start the day that you are ready, no need for resolutions.

I definitely agree!
I posted a similar realization on my blog yesterday.
Why wait for the beginning of a human-designed "new year" to initiate positive behaviors?
I resolve to live every day with energy, enthusiasm, a lust for knowledge and life, and an eagerness to find the center. I will not make resolutions on New Year. Every DAY is a new moment, a new beginning.
