The last 2 weeks have been time consuming. I work full time; we've been in the process of merging 6 companies into one, consolidating 9 different AS400 systems into 1 Oracle system. The time required for upgrading thousands of devices, installing software on over 10,000 devices, testing, training, traveling, etc. takes a great amount of time.
I have a wife and 2 kids, with the discussion of a 3rd soon. Between keeping up with my kids schooling (both very gifted which takes a lot of work and extra time with their projects) birthday parties, extended family, house chores and repairs, family time, etc. takes a great amount of time.
I attend college taking numerous classes each semester working toward a degree. This week is midterms. It takes a lot of study, not to mention finishing homework and projects before moving into the next half semester.
I'm not complaining. I really enjoy everything (well not always my job so much) but this week I am really feeling the chaos and burden of taking so much on. Many people are busy in life, but I am far out of balance and harmony right now. While some may be okay with this, I am not at the moment, but it will pass in a few more months.
Slowing down and smelling the flowers has never had as much meaning as it does now. I just need to reach Friday and take some down time for the weekend. I miss harmony and balance. Saturday will be time for a beer or two, friends, family, and just be in the moment... and maybe a few more blog posts.

Life is about learning. Maybe the lesson you've learned during this hectic period is that you don't want your life to be so hectic. :)
Some people thrive on always being on the go. Some people don't. The important thing is for you to figure out what you thrive on, then do what's necessary to walk that path.
Chaos must be the normal state of things.
It is possible to keep it at bay, but only if you start by making a point of it.
Once you wake up and write a post like this one, it's already far too late :)
Good title! It says it all.
I wish you luck sorting it all out: you're going to need it.
Meanwhile: your readers will not hold it so much against you that they get so little to read :)~
Have fun...
Did the two of you time that? ;)
Nope. Tao timed it FOR us.
