In the United States an obesity epidemic is plaguing the population. People consume sugary drinks all day, eat fast “food” frequently, and gorge themselves while most jobs no longer require any real physical movement to offset the intake. A person must burn more calories daily than they consume, it is impossible to lose weight otherwise (yes, surgery is an option).
I’ve met numerous people that claim that they attempted everything possible to drop weight and everything has failed. We have a television show called The Biggest Loser, obese people are split up into two teams. They are pushed hard by professional trainers and each week the groups weigh in for total results of weight lost. The team that loses the greater amount wins, the losing team sends a person home. At least that is how I think the show works, I don’t typically watch it. :D Anyway, from what I’ve wasted my time viewing, the contestants claim that they tried everything, but at each weigh in they all virtually lose weight some even drop double digits.
To do anything in life some form of movement must be done to accomplish anything. If you write then you must write, to paint a painter must paint, if you want to work complex machinery some form of education must be pursued. A task has to be started for something to be completed. A bird won’t have a nest if it doesn’t make many trips with twigs, mud, and whatever other items can be procured. Excuses are just that, it may take many years to reach a goal but a journey begins with a single step.

I have found that the secret to getting a big job done is to begin the job.
