... And Oceans

TTC 16:

Empty the self completely;
Embrace perfect peace.
The world will rise and move;
Watch it return to rest.
All the flourishing things

Will return to their source.
     We are (were?) in for our first major snow storm of the year. It is to coming in two massive parts. From 4 pm yesterday until this morning they had predicted approximately 5 – 8 inches of snow and the 2nd round this afternoon dropping another 6 – 8.

     I awoke this morning and threw open the curtains preparing to see the beautiful white blanket of fresh snow – there was half an inch and it was raining. So many weather people were wrong. Part two is on its way and it appears quite scary. They will probably be correct on this one. Once the storm clears late tonight or tomorrow morning the lake effect snow will kick in.

     While in deep thought this morning and pondering so much precipitation, I realize that we can take a lesson from oceans, lakes, and ponds. No matter their size or how much water they contain, they still share. Through evaporation they release what they are to the sky. The moisture condenses and falls back to the earth watering the land, providing drink and life to all that it can. Eventually through run off or even further evaporation the ocean returns back to itself.

     We should share a part of us with others, whether it be wealth or our time, it will return. It seems most things return back to the source from which it came. It is all nature.

Some people believe that everything that's in the universe now has always been there and always will be. It simply changes form.
